Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Submissions to the Proceedings journal should use the APA citation style and have the following information:

Title

Keywords

Abstract

References in APA format.

A familiarity with Styles in MS Word is extremely helpful! 

Styles used in formatting the final version for PDF include:

  • Heading 1 for title
  • Heading 2 for subhead level 1
  • Heading 3 for subhead level 2
  • References section uses a .5" hanging indent. This is generally set in the document's ruler.

PLEASE do not use hard carriage returns and tabs for line breaks in the References section (or anywhere else in the document for that matter!) It creates unnecessary clean up work and the possibility of accidental selection traps (where a word gets unintentionally included in a selection.)

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. ALL indentifying information has been removed Ensuring a Blind Peer Review.
  2. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (preferred), PDF, or RTF document file format.
  4. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  5. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  6. The text adheres to the American Psychology Association (APA) citation and bibliography style as outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
